There has been some speculation recently that WWE Hall of Famer Booker T is about to take a more active role in WWE television.
Booker has recently clashed with the Revival who have called out Booker and his brother Stevie Ray, who formed the Hall of Fame tag team Harlem Heat. He has also stated that he is interested in managing the current tag team, the Street Profits.
In the most recent episode of his Hall of Fame podcast, however, Booker raised the idea that he could be returning to action in another way – by entering this year’s Royal Rumble.
Royal Rumble 2020 is set to take place on January 26, at the Minute Maid Park that just happens to be in Booker’s hometown of Houston, Texas.
According to Booker himself, he’s training and keeping in shape for a potential return to the ring during the Royal Rumble.
“I’ve been trying to get my body right. I’ve been trying to get my mojo right, and I’ve been in the gym training, working out really hard,” said Booker.
“ Sometimes I’ve been doing two a day, and I’m trying to keep myself in shape,” he added.
“I’ve still got something left in the tank. I just checked it out a couple of weeks ago, and we’ve got about a quarter tank left. I think I’m ready to use it because I think I can get about 200 miles on a quarter tank,” adds Booker.
While Booker seems to be saying that he might be an entrant during the Rumble itself, he’s not ruling out having another type of match.
“I think I can do the Rumble as well as take that challenge as far as The Revival calling me and my brother out,” he added.
