Last week, news broke that Impact Wrestling had terminated the contract of Tessa Blanchard and stripped her of her championship.
Speculation immediately broke out about where Blanchard would go next and many reports are pointing to her going to WWE.
Blanchard’s father is WWE Hall of Famer Tully Blanchard and one other WWE Hall of Famer has recently given his opinion of where Tessa should go.
During his The Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T said that he believed signing with the WWE would be Blanchard’s best move.
“Tessa Blanchard put herself on the map as being Impact’s number one superstar,” noted Booker.
“The name ‘Tessa Blanchard’, that’s money,” added Booker. “Tessa Blanchard, she’s a catch in anybody’s company if they can get her right now.”
According to Booker, Blanchard’s next step should be WWE as it gives her a chance to really prove herself. Especially as it’s a bigger stage than anywhere else she could go now, even bigger than AEW.
“I think in AEW she’ll be a huge fish in a small pond,” he said. “I think for Tessa Blanchard to go out there and put a stamp on the business, she’s gonna have to go to WWE. She’s gonna have to go there and perform at the highest level under the brightest lights to become as great as I think she wants to be.”
Booker did add, however, he has a personal reason for wanting Blanchard in WWE. He wants to see her go up against another Hall of Famer Ric Flair’s daughter, Charlotte Flair.
“If WWE picked Tessa Blanchard up along with Charlotte Flair?” he said. “I wish Hogan’s daughter had stayed in there because that’s what I want to see: the second generation with all women.”
