Booker T may have last wrestled in WWE eight years ago, but the two-time WWE Hall of Famer is willing to step into the Squared Circle once again if WWE asks him to. Booker T has achieved success across several promotions such as WCW, WWE, and TNA.
He has made a name for himself as a singles star as well as being part of the legendary tag team Harlem Heat, with his brother Stevie Ray.
Booker appeared on his former commentary partner Corey Graves’ podcast After the Bell and discussed a potential return to the ring. Booker talked about how difficult it is to say goodbye to the sacred wrestling mat, and If asked, he will readily step in for a match.
“I know how hard it is to walk away from the business and you know how hard it is, to walk away from it and say, ‘’Man, that’s the last time I’m gonna do this.’ You know, I’ve been out of a WWE ring for quite some time now but rest assured, if they called me and said, ‘Hey Book, one match!’ You know what I mean? I’d be like, ‘Baby, can you help me find my boots?’”
Booker T last wrestled alongside current WWE Champion Drew McIntyre in a win over Mark Henry and Chrisitan at a house show. His last major match with the company took place at WrestleMania 28.
The 55-year old certainly has the physique to match the requirements, and with the new cinematic format of matches, he could find himself wrestling once again. One can only wonder whether Booker can pull off a spinarooni at this age.
The likes of Goldberg, The Undertaker, Sting, and Shawn Michaels have wrestled well into their 50s, which gives hope for a possible return for King Booker. Booker T starred on WWE Backstage recently alongside Renee Young, but the show was canceled last month.
