Braun Strowman had quite the face-to-face confrontation with reigning Universal Champion Brock Lesnar this week on Monday Night RAW.
The Monster had to do a good amount of talking during his segment on RAW that came to a close with the challenger and the champion confronting each other in person without touching each other.
Although the segment flowed smoothly (apparently), what most fans didn’t realize was Braun actually forgot his script and consequently what he was going to say next. This perhaps goes on to explain why ‘wingman’ Paul Heyman asked Strowman to come up with a few good lines to provoke his client.
On Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez revealed:
“Yeah, Braun Strowman forget every singe line.”
“Strowman’s a big guy, people like him. He doesn’t those trainwreck segments that everybody things is great. The reality is he’s not your top guy. He cannot deliver in the ring unless you’ve got gimmicks. Straight professional wrestling matches I mean he’s not top level.”
“As we saw last night he’s not clear to wrestle so he had to do a talking segment and he’s not a main event talker. He’s not even close to being a main event talker. He’s forgetting his lines, stumbling through things, it was awkward.”
Strowman is yet to be cleared for action and it is believed that he will be ready in time for his Universal Championship rematch against Brock at Royal Rumble on January 27.
It is unlikely that The Monster will slay The Beast at Chase Field for Seth Rollins is the most favorite to dethrone Lesnar at WrestleMania 35 after he wins the 30-Man Elimination Match at Royal Rumble.
Moreover, Rollins has been taking shots at Lesnar for over a month now, thus making it evident that a WrestleMania feud with Lesnar is just down the line.
