Injury Update On Braun Strowman
Braun Strowman is currently rehabbing from his elbow surgery and is scheduled to face WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar at Royal Rumble in January.
On Monday, WWE taped the next two episodes of RAW in advance because of holidays next week. Strowman appeared with a taped up arm (no sling in sight) on the pre-filmed Christmas Eve episode of RAW for a segment with Paul Heyman.
The Monster showed up at Sunday’s TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs to defeat Baron Corbin with a little help from Kurt Angle, Finn Balor, Heath Slater, Bobby Roode and Chad Gable. The victory granted Braun his title rematch against Lesnar while stripping the Lone Wolf off his role as Monday Night RAW‘s General Manager.
R-Truth & Carmella’s Vacation
WWE Mixed Match Challenge Season 2 winners R-Truth and Carmella are in a fun mood right now. Firstly, both Superstars have been granted the #30 spot on their respective Royal Rumble matches for winning the tournament and secondly, the duo is off to holidaying at the WWE Headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut.
As reported by Mike Johnson PW Insider Elite audio, plans await R-Truth and Carmella post-Christmas holidays, so something interesting (and funny) could be happening once the MMC winners set foot in the WWE HQ.
“The Mixed Match Challenge was won by R-Truth and Carmella. I am told they will be filming the vignettes for their visit to WWE Headquarters a couple of days after Christmas up in Stamford Connecticut.”
“They’re going to be filming them on location and that they will be filming them post-Christmas but there are definitely plans for vignettes involving those talents and doing some comedy at the WWE Headquarters. So for those of you who were wondering, that’s the deal.”
WWE Replaces Roman Reigns On Monday Night RAW Graphic
“The show must go on” – the very principle that WWE has been following over the last two decades is also being applied to the company’s top babyface Superstar Roman Reigns. The Big Dog has been removed from the official Monday Night RAW graphic which is quite heart-wrenching.
Earlier, Reigns was at the front and center with Seth Rollins and Brock Lesnar just behind him. Now, the Samoan has been removed and The Kingslayer has stepped up to claim the center spot.
However, what’s interesting is, in order to keep the “6 Superstars” count unchanged, WWE has added another powerhouse to the mix – Drew McIntyre – a clear sign that sooner or later the Scottish Psychopath is going to be the face of the company in Reigns’ absence.
Reigns is currently on a medical hiatus battling leukemia and although every individual in the company deeply wants him back in the ring at the earliest, WWE seems to be moving on for now.
