Braun Strowman Originally Moved to Raw Underground to Tackle Declining WWE Ratings

Raw Underground may not return to WWE TV, but the fight club themed wrestling segments was a strong effort on part of WWE to combat the declining ratings on Monday nights.

During a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, Braun Strowman revealed that he had personally requested to move over to RAW Underground to bolster the ratings for the final hour of Monday Night RAW.

“The third hour of Raw sometimes falls off with ratings, so I pitched an idea to bring ‘The Monster Among Men’ to Raw Underground in the third hour.”

“It’s so easy now to watch parts of the show on social media after it happens, but my goal is to get people to watch our live product. That’s a huge factor why I went to Raw, which is where I first made a name for myself.”

The Monster Among Men was drafted to the red brand as part of the 2020 WWE Draft and will now represent Team RAW at Survivor Series.
