Braun Strowman has been building towards his six-man tag match alongside Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler as they take on The Shield in Australia on Saturday evening, but it was noted by a number of fans in attendance last night, that Strowman seemed to be working a very light match.
Strowman opened the show with a match against Dean Ambrose, but The Monster Among Men looked as though he was limping as he came out for the match and seemingly favoring his knee.
Bryan Alvarez of The Wrestling Observer was in attendance at Raw last night and he noted that he thought that the match between Strowman and Ambrose was worked as a lazy match and it was then ended prematurely by Roman Reigns as a way to allow Strowman to work a much lighter match.
“Braun Strowman when he first came out, he’s moving like something is hurt,” he said via Ringsidenews.
“Like maybe his knee or something. He kinda half-ass limps down the ramp, he’s moving slow. Dean Ambrose gets in there and this is lazy, doing nothing as slow as humanly possible Dean Ambrose. They just half-assed the entire match, the whole thing felt like it was during a commercial break.”
Strowman has been a consistent presence on WWE TV and is set to be part of Super Show-Down this weekend, but WWE could allow him to work a much lighter match since it’s only a six-man tag where Ziggler and McIntyre could dominate.
WWE stars work through small injuries all the time, so hopefully, this is only a small injury and Strowman won’t be forced to miss any time on WWE TV because of it.
