Braun Strowman is one of the frustrating cases in WWE. He started his career in the singles division three years ago and went on to become one of the hottest commodities in WWE. He defeated Roman Reigns in a fantastic series of matches in 2017, and eventually found himself in the main-event picture.
However, Strowman suffered several losses in his pursuit of the Universal Championship, which severely derailed his momentum. The Monster Among Men recently talked with Sam Roberts on the NotSam Podcast and talked about how he stormed into a meeting and vented his frustrations directly to the Chairman of WWE, Vince McMahon.
Strowman was unhappy with his booking at that point and wanted to be in a better position in the company.
“LEGITIMATELY I WALKED INTO THE PRODUCTION MEETING ONE DAY AND I WAS LIKE, ‘I’VE HAD ENOUGH.’ I WAS JUST MAD ABOUT EVERYTHING.“
I WAS LIKE, ‘VINCE, WHAT IS GOING ON? I’M MISERABLE.
Strowman revealed how he was eventually calmed down by Vince, and give reassurance that it will get better soon. According to Strowman, Vince called him his pet project and said that he is more concerned where Strowman is ten years from now rather than the present.
‘LOOK, BIG MAN, I WANT YOU FOR THE LONG HAUL. IT DOESN’T MATTER WHAT YOU’RE DOING RIGHT NOW. I CARE ABOUT WHAT YOU’RE DOING TEN YEARS FROM NOW. I’VE INVESTED IN YOU, YOU’RE ONE OF MY GUYS. DON’T WORRY. YOU’RE FINE.’
Braun Strowman said that he had a long conversation with Vince, just a few hours before RAW. The show was yet to be complete, but Vince spent time with him and made him understand the grand scheme of things.
Strowman felt great respect for his boss and said that Vince deserves more credit for the way he handles things.
Vince doesn’t get the credit that is due to him. And if he hears this, he’s gonna get pissed off that I’m saying his name and putting him over.”
Strowman is currently one-half of the RAW Tag Team Champions and is rumored to face Seth Rollins at Clash of Champions.
