Bray Wyatt‘s “The Fiend” has become a major talking point in WWE. He has taken down legends and defeated Finn Balor mercilessly at SummerSlam. Wyatt is apparently ready to take it a notch higher and challenge for the WWE Universal Championship.
WWE will present Hell in a Cell next month, and the arena for the PPV is currently advertising Bray Wyatt for the Universal Championship match against either Braun Strowman or Seth Rollins.
Bray Wyatt won the WWE Championship two years ago at Elimination Chamber, and that remains his only singles title win in WWE till date. The Universal Championship is currently on the shoulders of Seth Rollins, who will be defending it at Clash of Champions against Braun Strowman.
Strowman replied to the advertisement of Wyatt’s Universal Championship Match and said that he is ready to teach his teacher a lesson. Strowman debuted in 2015 in WWE as part of the Wyatt Family, led by Bray Wyatt.
Strowman and Wyatt have not crossed paths in WWE in their singles run apart from a minute showdown during Survivor Series 2016. Strowman is yet to win a singles championship on the main roster and has won the RAW Tag team Championships twice.
Replying to Strowman’s comment, Bray Wyatt said that he loves Strowman and is ready to die in the ring with him at Hell in a Cell. Wyatt also noted that he is yet to lose against the current Universal Champion, Seth Rollins.
WWE has handled the Fiend character perfectly until now, and it will be interesting to see how they handle Wyatt’s surge into the main-event scene. Wyatt in his previous avatar was known as a superstar who loses a lot, but that has changed with his new persona.
It is impossible to think that WWE will let Wyatt lose at a PPV so early into his character, which makes the probability of him winning the title quite high.
