One of the hottest characters in not just WWE but all of professional wrestling, The Fiend is grabbing all the headlines and deservedly so. The Fiend emerged victorious over Finn Balor at SummerSlam this Sunday, and the presentation of the character has left everyone awestruck.
It was recently reported that Wyatt was being treated as a special character, and wouldn’t be overexposed to preserve the uniqueness of his character. This was the reason behind WWE not using Wyatt this week on RAW, even though he had tremendous momentum after PPV.
The arena for next week’s RAW episode is now advertising Bray Wyatt‘s appearance for the upcoming episode. Wyatt will most likely renew his rivalry with Finn Balor, with Balor possibly summoning the Demon for the next phase of their feud.
In an interview with WrestlingInc, Mick Foley talked about Bray Wyatt’s new character and Wyatt using Foley’s iconic Mandible Claw as his own finisher. Foley was happy to see his fingerprints even on today’s shows, and said Mandible Claw is 100% Wyatt’s finisher from now on.
“I think it’s nice to look at the show and see your fingerprints here and there. Where, as ten years ago when I left, there were a lot of people who had grown up idolizing Ric, and Shawn, and Bret, and you could see that in the work.”
“So now you have guys like Bray, who told me years ago, ‘Look, I’m doing something in a rocking chair,’ because he had gotten a rocking chair from an interview that I did for Randy Orton. You see it a little bit with Aleister Black and the rocking, and Su Yung, and Rosemary, and I love it; Sami Callihan doing the cactus driver. And so, I feel for Bray because you want a finishing move that you can do to anyone at any time. The mandible claw… is something that is all [Bray’s] now.”
