Bray Wyatt Teases Return of Recently Released Superstar on Twitter

Bray Wyatt brought back a very familiar gimmick on last week’s episode of SmackDown, and the Eater of Worlds is apparently going back to his roots with the OG gimmick which lasted for several years in the company.

Wyatt posted an image on Twitter featuring him and his two loyal followers, Erick Rowan and Braun Strowman. While Strowman is currently involved in a feud with Wyatt over the WWE Universal Championship, Rowan left the company quite some time ago.

Rowan was a part of the company-wide cuts in April, and he hasn’t appeared on any promotion since. While several other stars have either burned their bridges or have moved on with their careers, Rowan has remained a quiet figure.

Wyatt’s tweet suggested the return of the star, who still holds the record for the shortest match in WrestleMania history.

It was interesting to note that Wyatt didn’t include Luke Harper, who is currently in the main-event picture of AEW as Mr.Brodie Lee.

WWE also flashed a graphic during SmackDown last week, and we saw Rowan with his mask. Harper was kept out of the promo for the erstwhile Wyatt Family.

It is unclear whether the company is looking to bring in some of the released talents, but it surely will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Rowan’s no-compete clause ends on July 18th, while the Extreme Rules PPV takes place the very next day. The PPV is rumored to feature Wyatt in his cult leader avatar taking on Strowman.
