Why Seth Rollins Couldn’t Train With CM Punk

Seth Rollins is one of the biggest stars in WWE. The Kingslayer has come a long way in his career and is currently en route to becoming the next face of the company.

On E&C’s Pod Of Awesomeness, Rollins revealed the reason why he couldn’t train with CM Punk during his early pro wrestling career.

Seth was just starting out and even though he was selected at the tryout, he couldn’t afford to train at ROH’s wrestling school led by Punk due to financial reasons.

“We did the tryout and we were in decent shape and so we got into the class like you know [CM] Punk was pretty nice to us that time. Very rare, but he was kind to us there. We were excited, but we didn’t have the money to put down and Ring Of Honor wasn’t willing to work with us when it came to taking payments and stuff like that.”

Punk quit WWE in 2014 as well as pro wrestling in the process. Despite leaving the company 5 years ago, the Second City Saint still stands as the longest reigning WWE Champion of The Modern Era.
