Brian Pillman Jr., who became a free agent after his AEW contract expired earlier this month, dropped a tease about his pro wrestling future.



According to Pillman Jr., he has a “huge opportunity coming up. Pillman Jr. made these comments during a virtual signing with Captains Corner.

“There is a lot to come,” Pillman Jr. told fans. “I can&#8217;t speak on it right now. It&#8217;s kind of in the works right now but I&#8217;ve got a huge moment, a huge opportunity coming up in my career to continue making memories, to continue coming up with new gear ideas, and sharing my version of pro wrestling with you all. Thank you for supporting me and today was a lot of fun.”

Previously, it was reported by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Pillman was spotted at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando back on July 13. This lead many to speculate that he’s close to a WWE deal. Observer also noted in another report that whilst there is no hiring freeze in WWE at the moment, his signing is “less likely” following the Endeavor deal.



Pillman made his wrestling debut in late 2017, joining MLW as part of the Hart Foundation against Teddy Hart and Davey Boy Smith Jr. He then debuted for AEW at Double or Nothing 2019, signing with the promotion in 2020 as part of the Varsity Blondes with Griff Garrison.
