‘The Beast Incarnate’ Brock Lesnar made a much-anticipated return to WWE programming this week, and got himself into a WWE Championship match against Kofi Kingston, which will take place in two weeks’ time.
Brock Lesnar was not seen on WWE television ever since his defeat to Seth Rollins at SummerSlam last month, and his return on SmackDown this week was quite a major surprise.
The debut episode of SmackDown on FOX was already quite stacked, and with Lesnar’s addition, it received an even bigger boost. The match on FOX will be Brock Lesnar’s first match on TV in over 15 years.
According to an announcement made for the 15th November episode of SmackDown, Brock Lesnar will come ‘face-to-face’ with Kofi Kingston on that episode. It wasn’t confirmed if it it’s merely a confrontation or a full-fledged match.
The poster also features Roman Reigns, Bayley, Becky Lynch, Kevin Owens, and Randy Orton, which is an indication that these superstars will stay on SmackDown Live after the draft. However, the card is always subject to change.
Lesnar was also added to the RAW episode which takes place in two weeks. This episode is being presented as WWE RAW’s season premiere and takes place from Talking Stick Resort in Arizona.
This appearance on RAW is just four days away from Lesnar’s first WWE Championship Match in more than four years. Lesnar last competed for the WWE Championship against Seth Rollins in 2015, which ended with the Undertaker interrupting the match.
It is highly predicted that Lesnar will win the match against Kofi, and be the top guy on the blue brand. Lesnar has been part of FOX programming before, as he was the headliner on several UFC shows on FOX.
Lesnar’s appearances could also see a rise with the new FOX deal, and that will surely be exciting news for fans.
