Brock Lesnar made his first WWE appearance since Survivor Series this past week on Monday Night RAW and it was so that Paul Heyman could announce that he would be part of the Royal Rumble match on January 26th.
Many fans believed that Lesnar would defend the WWE Championship as part of the show, but his advocate stated that he would be entering the Royal Rumble match instead. Not only that, but Lesnar would be entering the match at number one so that he would have to go through 29 other stars in order to win.
It was an interesting announcement but it was after Lesnar and Heyman left the ring and made their way up the ramp that things go interesting. Heyman headed over to Jerry Lawler who was behind the commentary desk and told him to say nice things about The Beast Incarnate.
As part of the most recent episode of The Jerry Lawler show, the WWE Hall of Famer revealed that the entire segment was unscripted and he just rolled with it.
“We could just see the cameras and we just assumed that they [the viewers] are seeing us, and all of a sudden I feel this hand on my shoulder and I’m like, ‘What the hell?’ and it’s Brock Lesnar, and he’s brushing aside and walking past me.“Then I look over to my right and there, of course, is Paul Heyman, and he said, ‘Come on, come on, King, talk nice, talk nice,’ and that was totally off the top of his head and I had no idea they were going to be there,” he said via Sportskeeda.
Lawler seemed to take it all in his stride as the executive director of Monday Night RAW put him on the spot and forced him to compliment the WWE Champion.
