WWE’s reigning, defending, undisputed Universal Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar retained his title against The Big Dog, Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania 34. The match has already been acclaimed to be the most over-the-top bloody WrestleMania main event in the history of WWE.

With Reigns being the favourite, the 78,133 strong Mercedes-Benz Superdome was in utter shock as The Beast successfully delivered a plethora of his trademark suplexes and a total of six F5s to The Big Dog in an action-packed blockbuster. The fourth F5 saw Lesnar driving Reigns through the commentary table. Although Roman delivered a bunch of his signature Superman Punch and Spear, it wasn’t enough to keep The Beast down who would take him to a ride to Suplex City and would eventually bust open his victim courtesy of a couple of elbows right to the forehead.  A bloody busted open Reigns brought Brock down to his knees with two consecutive spears, but Lesnar fired back with one more thunderous F5 and secured the pinfall to retain the Universal Championship. The match also consisted of fans chanting, “This is awful.”

Brock Lesnar’s current status is unclear (as of writing) following his championship victory at WrestleMania 34. The Beast was serving his USADA suspension after failing a drug test at UFC 200 in July, 2016. Although the suspension was frozen with Lesnar announcing his retirement in February, 2017, a few weeks ago UFC President Dana White teased The Beast returning to The Octagon right after WrestleMania 34. White was present in attendance at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome  to support the former UFC Bantamweight Champion, Ronda Rousey’s WWE debut.
