Last night at TLC, Braun Strowman made his shock return as part of his match with Baron Corbin but he was unable to perform since he had only recently undergone surgery on his injured elbow.

Strowman instead called in reinforcements, which was completely within the rules as Apollo Crews, Chad Gables, Bobby Roode, Kurt Angle, Heath Slater and Finn Balor all attacked Corbin and helped Strowman pick up the win and book his place against Brock Lesnar at the Royal Rumble.

The big news coming out of that match is the fact that Baron Corbin is now no longer General Manager of Monday Night Raw, a show which will see Vince McMahon make his return.

The other added stipulation was that if Strowman found his way past the former United States Champion, he would face Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship at the first pay-per-view of 2019.

Strowman obviously wasn’t cleared to wrestle last night since he made his way to the ring wearing a sling and then remained on the apron whilst the rest of the roster disposed of Baron Corbin. He then only entered the ring to put his foot on Corbin and asked the referee to count the pinfall, which shows that he obviously isn’t one hundred percent health wise right now.

It’ll be interesting to see how WWE push Strowman forward in the coming weeks, since he isn’t medically cleared and Brock Lesnar is seen as one of the biggest threats in the company at present.

Strowman has wrestled Lesnar a number of times, but this could be the one where he is seen as the most likely to pick up the Universal Championship, so he needs to be one hundred percent ahead of their match.
