The passing of Brodie Lee came as a shock to the wrestling community. The leader of Dark Order was absent from AEW television for the past few weeks, and on December 26th, Lee’s wife Amanda announced the tragic death of her husband.
On AEW Dynamite, the company unveiled a tribute t-shirt of Brodie Lee. In less than two hours, Lee broke the record of the most t-shirts sold within 24 hours.
Previously, this record was broken by Sting after he made his AEW debut a few weeks ago.
This wasn’t the only record Brodie’s merch broke in 2020. His shirt has also become the most sold merchandise of 2020 on ProWrestlingTees. Previously, this record was held by Orange Cassidy, but Lee dethroned him in mere four hours.
All proceeds from Brodie’s final shirt will go to the Huber family, as informed by AEW.
