The Rock and Mankind’s “This is your life” segment is still considered to be one of the greatest of all time.
So much so that WWE attempted to recreate it with Bayley and Alexa Bliss a few years ago, but the less said about that one, the better.
While WWE fans look back on that segment as one of the highlights of both men’s careers, former WWE Head of Creative Bruce Prichard sees things from a different perspective.
Prichard recently opened up about the segment on his podcast where he revealed that he still hadn’t watched it because he still feels angry about the fact that both stars went off script and went over by 14 minutes.
‘I was pissed off at Russo, I was pissed off at Rock, I was pissed off at Foley, I was pissed off at anybody that was standing in front of me. It went 14 minutes heavy over its allotted time. Bad. Here’s the thing – OK great, after the fact, it did a great rating. But the effect it had on the rest of the television show was horrendous because now you’re having two or three-minute segments and matches are getting cut. Essentially they went two segments over.”
Even Vince McMahon was reportedly annoyed with both men for going off script that night.
