SummerSlam 2018 saw two best friends part ways over the SmackDown Women’s Championship – Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch.
Since August, Flair and Lynch have been engaged in a heated, much personal rivalry that has brought in ego, respect and dominance into play. Despite WWE’s efforts to establish Lynch as a heel, the Irish Lasskicker has been seen as a babyface all throughout.
Having exchanged blows both inside and outside the ring, this time both women took their brawl to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando.
The storyline continued over the weekend as Charlotte visited the Performance Center to give a pep talk to the NXT Women’s Division. SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky was also present at the 26,000 sq. ft. establishment and soon engaged in a brawl with her former best friend.
WWE NXT’s official Twitter account posted pictures of the brawl and noted that WWE and SmackDown Live officials are looking into the matter.
Neither Lynch nor Flair have commented on the incident and no video of their fight have been posted on social media. The WWE Universe can expect to see a short footage of the Performance Center brawl this week on SmackDown Live.

Lynch will defend the SmackDown Women’s Championship against Charlotte on October 28, 2018 at Evolution, the first all-women’s pay-per-view event in the history of WWE. The stipulation for the championship match has been set to Last Woman Standing, the first of its kind.
Evolution will emanate from the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, in New York. Reports suggest that 16-time World Champion “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair will be present in the building.
Meanwhile on October 21, The Queen teamed up with Asuka and Carmella to defeat Lynch and The IIconics at the WWE Super House Show in Boston.
