Roman Reigns and Charlotte Flair are undoubtedly the biggest stars in the WWE who were “created” in the company itself.
Since debuting on the main roster in 2014, Reigns has already cemented himself as a WWE Grand Slam Champion while Charlotte is a 6-time Women’s Champion since her emergence on the main roster in 2015.
While the future holds big things for these Superstars in the company, Reigns is being pushed as the next face of WWE with the Universal Championship currently around his waist.
Charlotte, the daughter of 16-time World Champion and 2-time WWE Hall of Famer “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair, possesses the same charm and charisma like her father and is considered as one of the best in-ring technicians in all of WWE’s roster.
Reigns proudly hails from the prestigious Anoa’i wrestling family of whose members are Rikishi, Umaga, Yokozuna, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Tonga Kid and The Usos. The members of the Anoa’i family have comprised several tag teams and stables within a variety of promotions and hold a plethora of championships in the business.
Due to their family ties and bloodlines, both Charlotte and Reigns are considered to have been “handed” their big pushes in their respective WWE careers. And that has led to Flair often being compared with Reigns.
Addressing the comparison, Flair told ComicBook:
“I think if I am being compared to him, I’m honored. I look at him as a top guy. He’s main evented WrestleMania … What? Three years now, in a row. He absolutely works his butt off, and always has to be on his A game. That’s a lot, a lot of pressure.”
“To be considered one of the top stars for the company, that’s my main goal. So yeah, that’s extremely flattering. I still feel like I have a long way to go, but if I could be like him, heck yeah.”
