The New Day Reportedly Breaking Up Ahead Of WrestleMania

Kofi Kingston is officially back in the main event spotlight.

Last week, Kofi showcased an exceptional performance by lasting over an hour in the Gauntlet match. The momentum flowed through Elimination Chamber as Kingston was the only man left to battle Daniel Bryan after the rest of the participants were eliminated. The New Day member pinned Bryan and earned a WWE title shot at Fastlane on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live.

On Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez revealed that stablemate Big E will potentially turn on Kingston to kick-off their WrestleMania feud post-Fastlane.

Big E is going to turn on Kofi Kingston. I watched the show last night. Kofi’s talking about how he loves his brothers. He’s getting another opportunity. These guys are just hanging out in the background and throwing pancakes. It’s inevitable.

Big E vs Kofi Kingston at WrestleMania. That’s my prediction.”

It would be interesting to see what WWE does with Xavier Woods if The New Day breaks up after Fastlane.
