Chris Jericho Reveals He Was Supposed to Face Mike Tyson at AEW All Out 2020

Chris Jericho was originally supposed to face Mike Tyson during this year’s All Out event.

Jericho made that revelation during the most recent episode of his “Saturday Night Special” series.

“Originally, I was supposed to work with Mike Tyson at the September pay-per-view All Out II, and we just couldn’t get it done in time,” said Jericho.

A clash between the two legends was teased back in May when they faced off in the ring when Tyson was a guest on AEW Dynamite.

Instead of facing Tyson, however, Jericho extended his program with Orange Cassidy.

“The second match I had with Orange was originally going to be the Mimosa Mayhem Match, but we moved it to the rubber match position,” said Jericho.

Jericho began his program with Cassidy after Double or Nothing. They originally clashed in Fyter Fest, where Jericho won. They then faced off on an episode of Dynamite, where Cassidy won. Cassidy then ended the feud with a win during the Mimosa Mayhem match.
