Chris Jericho Says He Is The Reason Behind Several AEW Signings Including Jon Moxley

Chris Jericho, the first-ever AEW World Champion, is a man who wears many hats. He is a professional wrestler, leads a successful rock-band and apparently, is a pretty good talent scout for the company.

Jericho recently spoke with Mature Audience Mayhem and spoke about his influence in landing the big names in AEW. He said that he is the reason behind AEW securing a TNT deal. Jericho previously wrestled on TNT as part of World Championship Wrestling (WCW), before jumping ship to WWE.

Jericho also credited himself for the signing of superstars like Jon Moxley and Sammy Guevara, along with backstage producer Dean Malenko. Jericho feels that his long and storied career is one-of-a-kind, and he will go down in history as one of the greatest of all time.

“If not for Chris Jericho being involved, maybe we don’t get the deal with TNT. We don’t get Jon Moxley, who I recruited, or Sammy Guevara, Dean Malenko, a couple of guys you haven’t even seen yet. So I think that, maybe [I’m] not the greatest of all-time, but the best longevity at staying at the top level in all of these different eras and influencing quite a few of them, I don’t know if there are too many people who have done that as much as I have.”

It is hard to disagree with Chris Jericho, as he has stayed in the professional wrestling industry for over a quarter of the century. He has excelled in every role, and his ability to stay relevant in the ever-changing times is impeccable.

Jericho will make a return to TNT on October 2, when he brings in two mystery partners to face the Elite (Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks). Jericho promised in his interview that there are few more surprises in the store, and the fans will be waiting in anticipation to see the two mystery names.
