WWE NXT moving over to USA Network has become a major headline across all the professional wrestling industry. The landscape of WWE is about to change with this mammoth announcement, and Triple H will reportedly make the official announcement tonight on RAW.

Former WWE Champion and current AEW talent Chris Jericho reportedly spoiled the major announcement on Busted Open Radio today. He went ahead and cleared the air on NXT’s status, and said that the black-and-gold brand will be moving to USA Network from September 25, in the 8.00-10.00 PM slot.

Jericho has healthy relations with his former company, and it is no surprise to see him having the details of the blockbuster move. However, spoiling it on a major podcast seems like an unwise decision, and it will definitely affect Jericho’s relationship with the company.

Although NXT’s move to USA Network was more or less confirmed, the date is a major revelation. NXT will debut one week prior to AEW’s much-hyped debut on TNT, which could be WWE’s way of staying ahead of the competition.

Jon Fischer tweeted that Jericho is usually right, and spoiled the news on the podcast today.

Although WWE and their superstars have denied any possible competition with AEW, this NXT-USA deal is a clear sign of WWE trying to stop AEW in its tracks. Vince McMahon hasn’t had a proper competitor since WCW went out of business two decades ago, and he would like to keep it the same.

Jericho performed under the WWE umbrella for close to two decades and made the switch to AEW earlier this year. He was one of the first names announced by the company and is likely to become the company’s first-ever AEW World Champion.

Chris Jericho faces off against Adam Page at AEW All Out later this month to crown the first-ever World Champion in AEW.
