Christian Addresses Potential In-Ring Return

There has been a lot of talk surrounding Paige and if the former Divas Champion will be able to make a return in the future, given the fact that Edge was shockingly cleared to wrestle after nine years on the sidelines. While Paige still remains disqualified from wrestling given her history of neck injuries, one star that has been asked about making his return is Christian.

Christian and Edge were once inseparable on WWE TV as former Tag Team Champions and even brothers in The Brood, but the two stars went their separate ways when Edge began to climb the ranks in WWE. The Rated R Superstar never forgot about his friend though, since Edge was forced to retire as Champion back in 2011 and made it his mission to get Christian the Championship.

As a former World Champion watching his former friend return to the company, Christian was recently asked on Booker T’s Hall of Fame Podcast whether or not he was looking to follow Edge back to WWE. Christian retired back in 2014 after a few issues with concussions and it appears that this issue means Christian can not be cleared by WWE at all in the future.

“It’s one of those things, right? It’s a completely different injury. I’m pretty content with all that I’ve accomplished in WWE. I pretty much accomplished everything I ever wanted to do except main event WrestleMania, and let’s be honest, how many people actually get a chance to do that?”

“I’m forty-six years old, I had some concussion issues. It’s just a matter of, I don’t see it happening. I’m medically disqualified. Not sure how I would ever get cleared.”

It was once noted that Vince McMahon didn’t like Christian very much, which was highlighted by a story about the WWE Chairman once stating that he wanted to put “a blue dot over Christian’s face” which said everything it needed to about their relationship, which perhaps shows that Christian is making the right decision.
