CM Punk has repeatedly denied any talks with WWE about a possible in-ring return, but the speculations about the former WWE Champion won’t die down anytime soon. Punk joined the team of WWE Backstage one month ago, and ever since then, the internet is filled with rumors of his return to the squared circle.

Punk, however, said he is open to an in-ring return, provided WWE give him the right offer. Punk’s insane popularity with the masses may tempt WWE to bring him back to the ring soon.

Several betting websites are currently listing CM Punk among the top favorites to win the iconic Royal Rumble match in 2020, and go on to headline WrestleMania 36. Punk’s last involvement with WWE came during Royal Rumble 2014, and him returning after six years at the exact same event, could be fitting.

Skybet currently has Punk at 4/1 odds to win the Royal Rumble, and is the second favorite behind the Big Dog Roman Reigns, who stands at 3/1 to win his second Rumble.

The list also features superstars like Kevin Owens, Bray Wyatt, and Daniel Bryan among others. Apart from Punk, two other surprising inclusions in the list are Cain Velasquez and Finn Balor, who are currently not a part of regular WWE programming.

Punk is currently embroiled in a rivalry of sorts with Seth Rollins, and the latter has challenged Punk to a WrestleMania match. With Rollins completing his heel turn this week, it opens up new avenues for WWE, and Punk taking on Rollins for the WWE Championship will be a major headline.

Roman Reigns is currently listed as the favorite, which comes as no surprise as the Big Dog is currently rumored to be penciled in as the superstar who dethrones the monstrous Fiend. Reigns has a terrific record in Rumble matches and has finished in the top three in all the matches he has participated in.
