CM Punk won’t be appearing on WWE Backstage until January 21st but that doesn’t stop him from airing his candid opinion on social media.

Bobby Lashley and Lana’s wedding segment on Monday Night RAW offered fans a solid dose of entertainment but the lesbian angle did upset Fire & Desire who took to Twitter to comment on the matter.

Punk noted that WWE should focus on hiring people who have the ability to understand who they are representing. It seems that the former WWE Champion had sensed a disconnect between the written script and the drama performed in the ring.

Asuka will be challenging Becky Lynch for the RAW Women’s Championship in a month’s time at WWE’s first pay-per-view of 2020, Royal Rumble. The Empress is just one title away from cementing herself as a Grand Slam Champion in WWE, and Royal Rumble is the stage where The Empress aims to achieve the historic milestone.

At this point, Lynch is the favorite to retain the gold due to her rumored title match against the returning Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania 36.

The Revival have been transitioning into comedic roles in recent weeks but a big spot could be awaiting them next month at Royal Rumble.

On PWInsider Elite audio, Mike Johnson reported that WWE had permitted Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder to approach Booker T and tease a future match against Harlem Heat during the TLC Kickoff Show. Given Vince McMahon doesn’t like teasing matches he can’t deliver, the fact that he had actually allowed the TLC angle to go down speaks volumes.

“I would think that is the direction. It makes logical sense to use that [Harlem Heat vs The Revival] as an undercard thing or a kickoff match. It makes sense because Booker T is a local celebrity.”
