Former WWE Superstar and longest reigning WWE Champion of The Modern Era CM Punk recently appeared on Ariel Helwani’s MMA show to promote Netflix’s Ultimate Beastmaster

Punk along with former NFL player Tiki Barber will commentate on the U.S. version of Ultimate Beastmaster. Former WWE Superstar Wade Barrett, real name Stu Bennett will host the U.K. version of the show.

The Second City Saint was asked about a possible return to professional wrestling. Although it might come off as a heartbreak for most die-hard pro-wrestling fans, the fact is Punk doesn’t seem to be interested in the sport anymore. Simply put, he could be potentially closing the door on pro-wrestling.

Punk explained:

“Uh…no, because to me that’s like an escape hatch. I got Beastmaster on Netflix, that’s season three and, you know, we’re crossing our fingers we get to move forward and do a season four. And aside from all the stuff I can’t talk to you about of course.”

“There’s all the secret stuff I’m not allowed to talk about that I’m doing too. It’s not even a matter of not going to wrestling because I’m busy doing other stuff. There’s just nothing that interests me in wrestling.”
