CM Punk Replies To a Cryptic Tweet From Cody Rhodes

Former WWE Superstar CM Punk has often been linked to All Elite Wrestling ever since the company came into inception earlier this year. CM Punk acknowledged these reports and tweeted that he would be ready for a return if an offer is made to him in person, rather than on the phone.

“the last thing I got — I got a text from Cody [Rhodes]. And again, I almost don’t even know how to reply to them sometimes, because if I reply, they do interviews and are like, “Oh yeah, I just talked to Punk.” I’m kind of damned if I do, damned if I don’t. I always think if somebody wants to do business with me, they can come talk to me. Texting offers isn’t really a way to do good business, at least.”

Cody Rhodes‘ image of him cupping his hand to the ear, as if listening to something, has become popular among the members of the Internet Wrestling Community every time a superstar is linked with AEW.

Last night, the Executive Vice President of AEW tweeted a rather confusing tweet as a piece of life advice.

Fans were rather confused after this tweet from Cody, and CM Punk himself replied to this tweet with a ‘Cody gif’. CM Punk is bombarded with such Cody gifs in his Twitter comments from time-to-time and took time out of his schedule to post a Cody gif of his own.

CM Punk left WWE and professional wrestling altogether after a fall-out backstage with the WWE authorities in 2014. Punk has never appeared in a wrestling ring again barring a recent appearance at this year at his friend’s promotion when he delivered a GTS while wearing a mask.

CM Punk-AEW is a story which will never die, and no one is complaining!
