CM Punk Talks About Fights With AJ Lee Following WWE Departure

CM Punk was fired by WWE on his wedding day in 2014. He was one of the most popular wrestlers in the world, and at that time when Punk was fired from WWE, his wife, AJ Lee, was still in contract with the company.

Fans wondered how this affected CM Punk’s relationship with his wife. Following Punk’s departure, Lee also quit wrestling after her contract expired with WWE.

On the latest episode of Renee Paquette’s Oral Sessions podcast, the former WWE wrestler revealed that he started to have a lot of fights with his wife after getting fired by Vince McMahon.

“I don’t know if anything changed. It was just hard. Being sued by this company. There were probably like a lot of arguments, a lot of fights that were a manifestation of me being angry. It was hard on her ’cause she was still working there, and also her neck got messed up, there was a lot going on. But obviously it made us stronger.”

It’s been over six years that Punk fought a match in WWE. There are some talks that All Elite Wrestling might sign him in the future.

On the same podcast episode, Punk said that all it would take is a fun storyline and a large amount of money to make him wrestle again.
