Longest reigning WWE Champion of The Modern Era, CM Punk will be making his annual meet-and-greet appearance at Starrcast III next month.

The wrestling convention is set to take place on Labor Day weekend (August 29 to September 1) and quite interestingly, coincides with AEW All Out weekend as well.

Sports Illustrated reports that Punk is booked for August 31 (Saturday), the same day All Out runs wild at the Sears Center Arena in Illinois.

Conrad Thompson told SI:

“We wanted to bring something unique and that hasn’t been done before at Starrcast.”

“I’ve always wanted to have Punk at Starrcast but the timing was never right, and I’m really excited that the stars have aligned for this August.”

Besides partaking in some signing sessions, the Second City Saint will also be sitting down for a one-on-one interview!

“Fans are going to get what they’ve wanted for a long time, and that is CM Punk with a live mic. It’s going to happen at Starrcast.”

Punk himself commented on his upcoming appearance at Starrcast III:

“Knowing the weekend will be attracting fans from all over the world for AEW, and since I normally only do one signing a year, it’s a great way to maybe meet people that normally I wouldn’t get the chance to otherwise. Looking forward to meeting everyone there.”

Last year, Punk had shown up at a ProWrestlingTees signing event ahead of All In. The response was huge but fans were left disheartened when the Voice Of The Voiceless didn’t make a surprise appearance at the PPV.

It’s very unlikely that the ex-WWE Superstar will be making a shock return to pro wrestling at All Out. After all, AEW doesn’t need Punk and the same can be said the other way round.

For those unaware, Tony Khan wanted Punk to be the first wrestler on the AEW roster. A potential deal between both parties sounds like a fairytale at the moment, but never say never in pro wrestling!
