With an overall singles record of 10-0, MJF is still the undefeated wrestler in the men’s division of AEW. The 24-year-old star has improved by leaps and bounds since his debut on the inaugural episode of Dynamite, and things are looking pretty good for the young athlete in the overcrowded pro wrestling industry.
So far, MJF’s future looks promising in AEW. His unbeaten singles run includes not only victories over his contemporaries but also over WWE Hall Of Famer Billy Gunn and Executive Vice President of AEW, Cody Rhodes. With Wardlow in his corner, The Salt Of The Earth is simply untouchable.
Despite his impressive AEW record, MJF hasn’t received a world title opportunity yet. While some are of the opinion that The Dynamite Diamond Ring holder is a brand in himself with or without a title, others suggest that putting a shiny strap on MJF would put him in a completely different league altogether.
During Cody’s recent Q&A on Twitter, the EVP addressed a fan who kept wondering why MJF hasn’t received an AEW World Title opportunity yet. It didn’t take long for the reigning TNT Champion to tease the grand title opportunity for The Salt Of The Earth.
MJF talks a big game but his impressive track record is more than enough to speak for it. To date, he has scored victories over Brandon Cutler, Adam Page, Jungle Boy, Cody, Lee Johnson, QT Marshall, Joey Janela, Marko Stunt, Billy, Griff Garrison in singles action.
The big-mouthed wrestler has suffered a couple of losses in tag team contests, but that doesn’t affect his individual AEW record.
As the #1 ranked male star, hopefully, it shouldn’t take MJF long to insert himself in the AEW World Title picture. At the same time, it remains to be seen when exactly is AEW ready to make young stars like MJF the face of the company especially when bigger names like Jon Moxley, Chris Jericho, and Brian Cage are already in charge.
