Conor McGregor has been linked with a charity match against Dustin Poirier for quite some time now, and the Irish star has officially announced a December 12 date for the two lightweight stars.
McGregor initially offered a charity match in Ireland which Poirier immediately accepted.
However, both the fighters are under UFC contract and it seems like McGregor has found a way to mitigate that by announcing a ‘martial arts sparring contest’. This will possibly help them to fight without breaching their contract.
The two stars have been in tussle with UFC in recent days, but Dana White has apparently offered a matchup between the duo for the Octagon.
BMF Champion Jorge Masvidal gave his endorsement for the match recently, and it seems like McGregor is all set to make his next big move.
