Three weeks ago, Conor McGregor announced his retirement from the Octagon. Many consider the shock move to be a public stunt, however, given the huge net worth McGregor has amassed over the years, it’s extremely possible that he’s done with MMA, well, at least for now.

Now, McGregor is teasing a WWE run yet again. This time, however, instead of calling Superstars out, The Notorious One has taken a jab at Vince McMahon himself!

The former two-division UFC World Champion’s website Mac Life recently posted a graphic of him posing with both the WWE Championship and a UFC title.

The Irishman then uploaded the same picture to his Instagram story and tagged Stephanie McMahon. His caption read: “McMahon vs. McGregor CEO Flashmatch”.

The notorious post soon caught the attention of WWE Champion Drew McIntyre.

McIntyre fired back by recalling a controversial incident of McGregor hitting an older man in a pub last year. The Irishman had landed a solid punch but the 70-year-old individual remained unscathed.

Referring to that pub incident, McIntyre has stated that Conor doesn’t even stand a chance against Mr. McMahon and should better stick to his whiskey, Proper No. 12.

To date, there’s been plenty of instances where McGregor has been linked with a move to WWE. The former UFC Featherweight Champion has been open to the idea of a WWE-UFC crossover, but unfortunately, unlike the celebrity boxers or former UFC athletes who have competed in the WWE ring, Conor is yet to receive the opportunity of working with The McMahons.

The Notorious One’s last fight in the Octagon was at UFC 246 where he had beaten Donald Cerrone within 40 seconds of Round #1.

McGregor’s impactful return to the Octagon made headlines across the globe and this makes it all the more unlikely for him to retire without getting his hands on another UFC Title.
