Conor “The Notorious” McGregor could be headed to the MetLife Stadium for WrestleMania 35.

This past week, SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch had a brief exchange with the UFC megastar on social media. While responding to an online article, the Irish Lasskicker said that she was channeling her inner McGregor with her trash talk but would break their Irish bond if she got the opportunity to break Conor’s arm.

McGregor then promised to offer Lynch with “proper backup” referencing his Proper 12 whiskey that Lynch had decided to share after locking the Irish UFC star in the Dis-arm-her.

WWE caught up with the exchange and tweeted:

‘The Man’ replied:

Lynch was clearly referencing Conor’s infamous bus incident in New York that took place this past April and how The Notorious flew from Ireland to Brooklyn via a private jet and attacked Khabib Nurgamedov‘s bus to defend the honor of his teammate Artem Lobov.

It’s interesting that WWE has taken up the story and mentioned the UFC star in its official tweet. With Lynch’s recent tease, it seems that a surprise appearance for McGregor at next year’s WrestleMania is on the horizon.

At WrestleMania 31, Ronda Rousey, while still under contract with UFC, appeared in the front row at the Mercedes Benz Superdome to assist The Rock in confronting Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. At WrestleMania 34, UFC President Dana White was present in the crowd to witness Rousey’s in-ring WWE debut.

Last week, “Advocate” Paul Heyman expressed his interest to manage Conor Mcgregor if he ever pursued a career in WWE.

With Triple H, Roman Reigns, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn all sidelined, Vince McMahon needs huge star power for next year’s Show Of Immortals. And the former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion could exactly be the box-office attraction WWE needs for the show.

While rumors of Ronda Rousey vs. Charlotte Flair headlining WrestleMania 35 are stronger than ever, it’s being speculated that Lynch could also be added in that match making it an epic Triple Threat scenario. Rousey has Kurt Angle in her corner. Charlotte has Ric Flair. And Lynch has? McGregor.

We’ll have to wait till April 7, 2019 to find out!
