Former UFC Champion Cris Cyborg has a keen eye on All Elite Wrestling.
AEW’s inaugural pay-per-view Double Or Nothing takes place on May 25 and Cyborg “can’t wait” for the event.
Co-Executive Vice President of AEW, Cody Rhodes recently took to Twitter to thank fans for helping the Nightmare Family YouTube Channel’s latest video hit nearly a million views. Cyborg’s interesting response to Cody’s tweet has caused the IWC to endlessly speculate on the matter.
What’s interesting is that Rhodes and Cyborg belong to different sports and have never had any connection between them.
The 33-year-old Brazilian-American MMA artist is still under contract with UFC. Cyborg has never been linked to AEW nor has there been any talks of her doing a cross-over appearance at any wrestling promotion.
Current rumors suggest that Cyborg’s appearance at AEW could be a one-off affair and she might show up in the Casino Battle Royale.
While Rhodes has left AEW’s door open for MMA/UFC stars, at this stage, it would be hard to imagine Cris leaving the Octagon for the squared circle although such a possibility cannot be completely turned down once she retires from UFC.
Cyborg is currently ranked #15 in the official UFC pound-for-pound rankings.
