Amidst the news of all the re-signings of Ring of Honor talents, Wrestling Inc. is reporting that a former ROH World Champion has become a free agent.
According to their sources, Dalton Castle, who signed with ROH in 2013, was offered a new deal with ROH but has declined to sign for now.
While the deal is said to be good and Castle is considering it, he also “wants to see what else is out there”.
Castle is a one-time ROH World Champion, winning it in 2017 by defeating the current EVP of AEW, Cody Rhodes. He has also held the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship.
Castle’s last appearance on ROH TV was in December, where he was successful in a match with Brian Johnson. Johnson himself was one of the talents who re-signed with ROH this week.
Castle is known for his flamboyant personality in and outside of the ring, reminiscent of the legendary Gorgeous George, though he’s mentioned he draws inspiration from glam rock personalities such as David Bowie and Freddie Mercury.
Aside from ROH, Castle is also known for his time on Chikara and had a few appearances for TNA back in 2015.
