A lot of WWE superstars have been signing new WWE contracts and the latest to join the bandwagon is Dana Brooke. In a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, Brooke revealed that she recently signed a new five year deal with WWE.
Brooke has been very active in social media and has been on the news lately, courtsey a budding relationship with the upcoming WWE Hall of Famer, Dave Bautista.
“You have to make the most of any time you are given, and any opportunity I’m given, whether it was as Charlotte Flair’s protégé, standing up against Ronda Rousey, being the statistician of Titus Worldwide, I want to show my range,” Brooke said, reflecting on her time with WWE. “I’m willing to embrace anything that is thrown my way. Coming into 2020 and transitioning onto SmackDown, it’s a fresh start for me.
“I just signed a new five-year deal in WWE, and part of my goal is to build my own personal brand. And women empowerment is a key in the success of my career and a key for WWE. We can do what the male wrestlers have done over the years, and now women are finally being given that chance. That also means that I get the chance to show what I can do, and I really believe that 2020 is going to be the year that people see a different side of me.”
Brooke who holds WWE’s anti-bullying campaign close to her heart said that she wants to inspire people and make sure children get a happy life that they deserve.
“I’m here to tell my story and inspire someone. I just did an event with UNICEF. There are so many ways to be a part of their programs. I learned so much about them and they help children from all around the world who live without the simplest things that we take from granted. I also hold WWE’s anti-bullying campaign close to my heart. Children deserve a happy childhood. No one has the right to take that away from them.”
When asked about her ex-boyfriend who tragically passed away two years ago following a cardiac event, Brooke said that not a day goes by where she doesn’t think of him.
“Dallas McCarver is my angel. Not a day goes by where I don’t think of him. I tip my hands to Dallas every time I walk to the ring.”
Brooke has been getting more screentime on SmackDown of late as she has been wrestling WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley consecutively for two weeks.
