Daniel Bryan Officially Cleared By WWE For In-Ring Return

Only a couple of days after hinting at a potential return at WrestleMania 34, WWE Smackdown General Manager and former WWE Champion Daniel Bryan has been officially cleared by the WWE for in-ring action.

As per WWE‘s official statement:

“Following more than two years of extensive evaluations, WWE Superstar Daniel Bryan has been medically cleared to return to in-ring competition by leading neurosurgeons, neurologists and concussion experts, including Dr. Robert Cantu, Dr. Javier Cárdenas and Dr. Jeffrey Kutcher.

Bryan underwent a full review of his medical history and received comprehensive neurological and physical evaluations independent of WWE. He was cleared by each doctor as well as WWE’s Medical Director, Dr. Joseph Maroon.”

Bryan retired from in-ring wrestling back in May 2015 due to multiple complications related to concussion. Though he was cleared by external medical professionals, WWE doctors did not clear him until now.

What role will he play in Wrestlemania 34? Could he team up with Shane McMahon to face Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn? Tonight’s Smackdown Live might give you those answers.
