On July 9, 2018, at UFC 225, Mike Jackson beat former WWE Champion and current UFC talent, CM Punk via unanimous decision (30-26). Although Jackson emerged victorious, UFC President wasn’t happy with the winner and even blasted him during the post-match conference. Punk lost to Jackson in what was a “do or die” match for both in the UFC.

This time around, WWE Superstar Daniel Bryan seems to be confident ever since his in-ring return in the WWE three years after a career-ending injury and even went to comment on Jackson following his victory at UFC 225.

During a recent Instagram Live session with wife Brie Bella, Daniel made a quick appearance and instead of answering fan questions, he asked:

“Did they just ask me if I could beat Mike Jackson in a fight?”

“I could beat him on the ground, for sure … I think,” The American Dragon quickly answered.

Longest reigning individual WWE Divas Champion Nikki Bella was heard in the background “prove it” to which Bryan replied,

“If WWE were to let me fight in the UFC, then maybe.”

This really offended Mike Jackson who lashed out and badmouthed Bryan on Twitter.

Bryan was cool in his manner and replied, “Interesting” with a little pondering emoji.

It appears that the back-and-forth- will strictly remain limited to words as there is not a snowflake of a chance that WWE will allow Daniel Bryan to fight in The Octagon. Afterall, it took a miracle and three years for The Bearded GOAT to make his in-ring return. WWE wants to play safe with Bryan which is why the company also pulled out Bryan from this year’s Men’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match to keep him from harm’s way.
