Daniel Bryan Wishes To Wrestle CM Punk At WrestleMania, Booker T To Manage Street Profits In 2020?

After failing to dethrone “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt at Survivor Series, Daniel Bryan will once again challenge the masked monster for the WWE Championship at Royal Rumble later this month.

During a recent Q&A session on Cerrito Live, Bryan discussed the possibility of CM Punk making his way back to the ring. The American Dragon is hopeful about the Second City Saint eventually returning to in-ring competition as he believes that there should’ve always been a WrestleMania showdown between them.

“I always say it’s always so enticing to come back, as much as you don’t want to. I would hope yes and also – in the back of my mind and even after he left – I always had this thing where it just seemed to me there should have always been a WrestleMania match between CM Punk and Daniel Bryan.”

“Now at this point, he may be past that and I know he’s not big on people putting his name out there and saying, ‘Oh, I wanna do this.’ That’s not where I’m coming from with this at all. But just in the back of my head, I’m disappointed that we never got a CM Punk-Daniel Bryan WrestleMania match.”

At this point, an in-ring return for Punk seems very unlikely although never say never in WWE.

Meanwhile, 2-time WWE Hall Of Famer Booker T could be eying his next gig on TV. During WWE Backstage, the 5-time WCW Champion noted that given his accomplishments in the tag team division, he could potentially manage Street Profits at some point this year.

“Since I am a tag team extraordinaire, a tag team specialist, 14 tag team championships throughout my reign in this business, so I’m looking forward to the tag team division getting crunk in 2020, and I might even manage The Street Profits somewhere along the year.”
