WWE Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose won the RAW Tag Team Championship from Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler last week on RAW after the show kicked off to Roman Reigns making the shocking announcement of his returning Leukemia leading The Big Dog to relinquish the WWE Universal Championship.
The celebration was short lived as Ambrose threw down all shackles and finally did what he had been teasing to do for the last several weeks on RAW including WWE Super Show-Down.
Ambrose turned heel as he brutally assaulted his Shield brother Rollins both inside and outside the ring.
At the WWE Live Event in Corbin, Kentucky on October 27, Rollins called out Ambrose and demanded an explanation for the surprising assault on RAW.
This led to Rollins being put to a Dirty Deeds by Ambrose who attacked from the back and once again laid waste to his tag partner. As The Kingslayer lay all by himself, the Lunatic threw down his tag title in the ring and headed to the back.
As most fans know by now, Ambrose’s heel turn wasn’t planned to take place on RAW last week had it not been for Reigns who relinquished the Universal Championship to go on an indefinite leave in order to fight his battle against the returning Leukemia.
Reigns’ leave also led WWE turn Braun Strowman into a full-blown babyface. Strowman will now walk into Crown Jewel as a face to battle Brock Lesnar for the vacant Universal Title.
The WWE Universe is in a confused state as of the moment given that Ambrose turned heel but at the same time both he and Rollins are the RAW tag team champions.
The air will be cleared in the coming weeks on RAW, if not immediately this week, as the rivalry between the Shield brothers continue to boil up.
