It’s been teased for a couple of weeks now, and encouraged by Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre, but the question still remains, when will Dean Ambrose turn on the Shield?
During an interview at the start of this week’s RAW, it fell to WWE interviewer Charly Caruso to ask the Lunatic Fringe himself that very question.
During the interview, Ambrose acknowledged that there is some truth to what Ziggler, McIntyre and even Braun Strowman have been saying about him and the Shield recently. He also stated, that if he was going to turn on Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns it would be when people would least expect him too.
Now, it could be argued that, the first time that the Shield broke up, it was not just when people least expected it but also by someone they least expected it from (Rollins instead of Ambrose), so Ambrose’s answer is a bit of a non-answer.
There are also some who say his tone was sarcastic when he was addressing Caruso. So should we believe that an Ambrose turn is imminent? There’s still no definite answer or date.
Also, there’s the fact in the same interview, Dean said that the Shield is a brotherhood and not a brand or a business and as such, not a bond that was easily broken.

Dean’s non-answer didn’t please acting general manager Baron Corbin at all, though. Corbin came out afterwards and put Ambrose in a match with Braun Strowman, a match he almost won but ended in a brawl between the Shield and Dogs of War.
