This week’s episode of WWE Monday Night RAW in Greensboro, NC, witnessed the epic return of Shield member and former RAW Tag Team Champion “The Lunatic Fringe” Dean Ambrose.

Ambrose and Seth Rollins took the beating to Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre and cleared the ring in the process. RAW went off the air with “Retaliation” as Ambrose and Rollins did the infamous Shield fist bump.

However, fans in attendance were also part of some bonus entertainment after the show. The Lunatic Fringe joined forces with The Kingslayer, Braun Strowman and Finn Balor to lock horns with the team of Dolph Ziggler, Drew McIntyre, “Constable” Baron Corbin and Kevin Owens in an 8-Man Tag Team Match.

Fans went home happy as the babyfaces won without a shadow of doubt. Ambrose scored the pinfall after hitting Dirty Deeds on Corbin. During the contract signing segment that closed RAW, Ambrose hit his first Dirty Deeds for the first time in almost 9 months. McIntyre was on the receiving end.

The good news is Ambrose has finally returned to in-ring action and looks bigger, meaner and in the best shape of his life.. Although WWE took the safest route by making Ambrose return to Rollins’ aid, the Lunatic barely smiled or looked happy.

This leads to one and one speculation only — a heel turn for Ambrose. If the rumors are to be true, then the WWE Universe will be lucky enough to see Ambrose turn heel at SummerSlam. The Lunatic will cost Rollins his Intercontinental Championship Match against Ziggler and the two Shield brothers can engage in a thunderous feud from that very night onwards.

On the other hand, Ambrose is expected to team up with Rollins after SummerSlam for WWE Live Events which indicates that the Rollins-Ambrose vs. Ziggler/McIntyre feud may extend to a couple more Pay-Per-View events.
