Dean Ambrose returned to Monday Night Raw this past week to aid his long-time friend and rival in his battle against Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre.
Many of the WWE Universe noted that The Lunatic Fringe had returned with a new attitude and a new sense of style that pointed towards a heel turn.
When Ambrose was injured back in December, it was Rollins who dived through the ropes and onto his former Shield teammate, which made it seem as though the injury was his fault, until Samoa Joe and The Bar attacked the former World Champion backstage.
This plot is one that WWE obviously put together so that Ambrose could turn heel on Rollins down the line since there was a WrestleMania match planned for the two popular stars before the Cincinnati native was first injured.
Many believed that Ambrose would turn heel this weekend at SummerSlam and cost Rollins the chance to win back his Intercontinental Championship but according to the advertisements for Hell In A Cell next month, Ambrose and Rollins are set to continue their feud with Ziggler and McIntyre.
The AT&T Center has released the information ahead of the event which includes the fact that Ambrose and Rollins will team together to take on the two stars in what is presumed to be a stipulated match at the Hell In A Cell event.
Given all of the excitement that surrounded Ambrose’s return earlier this week, wrestling a tag team match at his first pay-per-view back does seem quite lackluster, but cards are subject to change and hopefully, WWE will be able to add an impressive stipulation ahead of the show on September 16th.
