It’s been a hard week for both wrestling fans and wrestlers in the business following the passing of Brodie Lee.
This is the first shock passing of a contracted AEW/WWE star since Chris Beniot in 2007 and it’s shocked the business to its core.
WWE paid their own tribute to the former Intercontinental Champion on Monday Night Raw, and tonight’s AEW Dynamite will be a celebration of the life of Brodie Lee.
The former WWE star was close friends with many wrestlers in both the WWE and AEW locker room which is why both Dolph Ziggler and Xavier Woods have taken to Twitter to promote tonight’s episode of AEW.
Of course, this would have been unheard of a week ago since both stars are contracted to WWE, but Woods has already shared how close he was to Lee as part of this week’s Raw Talk, and Dolph Ziggler noted that he thinks all wrestling fans should be tuning into tonight’s episode of Dynamite.
Lee passed away on Saturday following a battle with an unnamed lung illness and the wrestling world has since been mourning the loss of someone who has been described as the perfect friend, husband, and father.
