Double Title Match, Grudge Match Announced for Wrestle Kingdom 15

Jay White will be challenging Tetsuya Naito For the IWGP Heavyweight and Intercontinental Championship during NJWP’s first big event for 2021, Wrestle Kingdom 15.

During the Power Struggle event, White had a match against Kota Ibushi for the G1 contract. The contract grants its holder a title match during the Wrestle Kingdom event and had been held by Ibushi before Power Struggle.

White winning the G1 contract marks the first time that the contract has changed hands before Wrestle Kingdom.

Power Struggle also featured Naito defending his two titles against EVIL. The Naito vs. EVIL match closed out Power Struggle and afterward, White told Naito that he “would be taking January 4 off” but that he would be challenging Naito for his title on January 5.

Wrestle Kingdom 15 is a two-night event that will be taking place at the Tokyo Dome on January 4 and 5, 2021.

Also announced for Wrestle Kingdom 15 during Power Struggle was a match between Kazuchika Okada and Will Osprey.

Osprey made his challenge to Okada after the latter defeated his Power Struggle opponent Great O-Khan. The two have been feuding since Osprey turned on Okada last month after a G1 match.

According to Osprey, he had been using Okada to get “more popular” and he now wants to end Okada’s career.
