On May 30, 2012, WWE released Dr. Tom Prichard, the very man who stands responsible for training popular Superstars, namely, Kurt Angle, Val Venis, The Rock, Shane McMahon, Dolph Ziggler, The Bella Twins and several others.
During a recent interview with Fightful, Dr. Tom revealed the reason why he was fired by WWE last decade.
As it turns out, Prichard’s ideologies didn’t match with WWE’s. The promotions training methods were “too cookie-cutter” and unlike WWE, he believed that the same style didn’t work for everyone.
While WWE wanted a set itinerary that guaranteed a predictable system, Prichard was more inclined towards switching things around when some exercises didn’t bring out the desired results for talents.
The differences between both parties were enough to get Prichard dropped from WWE’s payroll. He was replaced by Bill DeMott as the head trainer.
61-year-old Tom believes that Bruce Prichard’s return to WWE won’t bring him back, but never say never in pro wrestling.
