Drew McIntyre Advising WWE Stars Following Release, Apollo Crews Officially Pulled From Money In The Bank

WWE releases have been making headlines for the past week and they are expected to continue in the weeks that follow if recent rumors are to be believed. Current WWE Champion Drew McIntyre was released by WWE back in 2014 but was able to reignite his WWE career and use his release to fuel him to become a better wrestler.

The Scottish star was then re-signed to NXT and has since been on a mission in WWE, so naturally, he would have a lot of advice for the stars who were recently released. As part of a recent interview on Noel Clarke’s ‘Career Chronicles’ Instagram series, McIntyre revealed that he has been helping a few WWE stars following their release.

“I’m still talking to some of the guys right now. They’ve got some good plans, a couple of the lads. I’m not gonna come out publicly and talk about that stuff. That’s a private matter as far as I’m concerned. I’ve been there, I know how it feels… I’m advising some of the guys right now and they’re gonna be ready when the time comes to make some big noise around the world,” via Sportskeeda.

While Drew McIntyre is currently looking forward to his match against Seth Rollins at Money in the Bank, one man who won’t be there is Apollo Crews. The former NXT star qualified for the Money in the Bank men’s ladder match for the first time a few weeks ago when he was able to defeat MVP on Raw, but the company was forced to officially pull him from the match earlier today.

Crews’ match against Andrade last night on Raw was called off when he suffered a knee injury when coming off the top rope before he was then seen on crutches backstage. This led to speculation that the company was looking to take him out of the Money in the Bank ladder match, but it was only announced on WWE’s Twitter page officially earlier today.
